Loyola University is a wonderfully diverse school with a heart for altruism and creativity. Loyola Chi Alpha, pioneered by Matt and Jen DeGier, was the first campus ministry to be recognized by the university and enjoys a great relationship with administration. Come to Loyola Chi Alpha to enjoy worship as a community at Connect Chi Alpha and join one of our Life Groups to grow in friendship and depth of relationship with the Lord.

Jen and Matt moved to New Orleans to pioneer Chi Alpha in the city after training with Eric Treuil in 2003. Originally from the frozen north, they've settled in well to the Big Easy. They are now raising 4 boys, and Matt keeps busy directing Chi Alpha at Loyola, while leading the citywide team. Besides Jesus, each other, their boys and campus ministry, Matt and Jen also love the outdoors, hiking in states besides Louisiana, keeping fit (in radically different ways) and reading (but almost never the same books).
